Diversity & Inclusion
Mountain Park Health Center’s diversity strategy is focused on creating and establishing an organizational culture that is aligned with our mission of working with the communities we serve to sustain and improve health by providing affordable primary care. We strive to create an environment where everyone is valued, respected, and appreciated for the various perspectives and assets they bring to into the organization.
At the core of our strategy lies our commitment to ongoing assessment and stakeholder engagement. We believe that our diversity and inclusion efforts impact every area of our organization and provide us with a competitive advantage.

Annual Assessment
MPHC’s annual Diversity, Inclusion, and Cultural Competency assessment is an opportunity to engage stakeholders who experience our organization through various lenses. We engage our employees, patients, and community members in each assessment through surveys, focus groups, and interviews that allow us to collect qualitative and quantitative data that helps us validate current strategies as well as develop future strategies around diversity and inclusion.
Our assessment has yielded several recommendations that have led to efforts including, but not limited to, medical interpreter training for 24 MPHC staff, required ½ day Diversity training for all MPHC staff, establishment of translation policies and procedures, increased contracting with women and minority owned business enterprises, and targeted marketing and branding efforts.
